PKM won't program new keys

My PKM will not program any new keys. I have 2 valid keys and I cannot for the life of me have a 3rd key programmed.

I have a Viper 5091 system with the XK04 bypass. Everything was working fine until I adjusted my clutch pedal and the sensors. After when I remote start the immobilizer kicks in.

I tried the 1st key to ON then off after the PKM light went out, repeated for the 2nd key, and again for the remote start. Physical keys work, the remote start doesn't. I have reset the bypass module countless times now. So I got a hold of a blank ford key. I tried to test the PKM to see if it would at least program a physical key, nope.

I found the guides for coding your own remote start...but I have tried all of those procedures with no progress.

Is there a way to clear the PKM's cached key data?

Just a question, why would you want to install another Aftermarket alarm to your Rx-8 ?

You can install Factory Remote start. Good thing about it is that you will never have a problem.

Just need to short one of the clutch switch's wire. Thats about it.

I wanted the Viper because I have class in Philly, and well...I want peace of mind.

I was unaware that I had a remote start option with a 2004.

Nevertheless, any ever deal with the PKM not programming new keys?

i believe that works through the keyfob which already has a crappy range.. might as well go aftermarket (which is also cheaper) and get a full 2-way paging alarm with a mile range.

That is exactly why I got the viper. Crazy range, and 2 way. Get ur parts through Amazon, u'll save over $500 compared to retail.
