I apologize for the noob question guys, I just want to make sure I'm heading in the right direction. I have a 2004 6sp GT with 66k miles. The car runs great, starts right up both hot or cold, and seems to have plenty of power. a few weeks ago I got a CEL, plugged in my tester and it showed 3 faults, all misfire cylinder 1. it seems to run smooth to me, but I decided to put fresh plugs in. Changed the plugs, (old ones looked fine) reset the CEL and went on my way. Today the CEL came back on, checked the codes again, and showed 1 fault, misfire cylinder 1. now from the research I've done it seems many think the factory coils are a weak link, and the BHR are a good upgrade, so I'm thinking that should be my next step, but you guys know these cars better than I do so I'd just like some verification that my thinking is accurate, or if not what I should check next.
thanks for any insight.

Get the BHR coils, they are well worth the dollar and something I will be doing next year, when mine are due for a change.

and yes coils could be at fault as well as possible cat failure?

I hadn't considered the cat, but I have a turboxs exhaust with race pipe on the way, so that will take the cat out of the equation anyway. thanks for the opinion!
