Omp sensor replacement

I have an rx8 with the OMP limp as many of the ppl here have experienced and im documenting abt resolving it in another thread but here i wanna talk abt smt else.
The black omp sensor.
I saw someone from Haltech using a TPS sensor from a Suzuki Vitara for the omp sensor and it working perfectly fine

This was another TPS he said fits better than the Vitara one

My question is has anyone tried this out, will it work as a replacement for the omp sensor rather than replacing the whole thing.
Afterall i read in this forum that the sensor on the omp is more like an on/off switch than a sensor

This thread might help before doing weird Suzuki transplants

Already read that thread and even contacted a few fellow enthusiasts who have posted on that thread about that procedure.
The transplant came into mind as a "what if" situation and to see if anyone else has any ideas...

Afterall of we find a correct replacement for the OMP sensor we dont have to replace the whole omp everytime

What I meant is in that thread the owner got away just by cleaning his OMP. No replacements needed

Yusss loki you are right..
I was jus thinking of this as a possible solution for the worst case scenario :D:
After reading all the OMP related threads i saw that Some omps apparently arent as obidient as the one in tht persons car ..
