Ok....help?

Ok, so I'm bookin in down the I-5 in fifth gear, wind it out, put it into sixth and stay on the gas. After a few seconds and some mid range revs the oil light and MIL flashed at the same time. I saw the lights out of the corner of my eye and a loss of power with my foot still in the gas. Not a "car has trouble getting up a hill" loss of power, but a "oh dear lord what have I done to my beautiful car" loss of power. I let off the gas and the lights go out and the car feels normal again. I have read about the oil pan and sensor upgrade (it seems the dealer neglected to repair many of the recall parts) but have not heard of the lack of power. No bueno? Same thing you folks are talkin about?

The loss of power may have been the PCM protect mode kicking in after sensing a problem. Take the car in to a dealer soonest and have them read the error codes.

You wind out 5th gear? So you were going 140+ mph? i'm quite skeptical

will also do that if you have less than a .25 tank of gas. the car is smart.

my car's oil light came on at constant speed (like 70ish on the highway) due to a faulty sensor in the oil pan....never heard of the problem you stated. Sounds liek the car went into a pertection mode b/c something in the engine got squirrely...i'd take it to a dealership a.s.a.p.
