Oil Dilema

Hi. This is my 1st visit and so I'm not sure where to go!
I have just upgraded my PZ to a R3. My old car used 5/30w oil but according to my local oil store, the R3 uses a different one. Anybody got any concrete info?? Im confused to say the least :uhh:

There is a wealth of oil information and research regarding the RX8. I'd review those posts and then make up your own mind.

5/30 of your favorite brand/type is perfectly fine. Others will tell you different but it comes down to who you trust and what information you find valuable.

And before you further ask... Mazda recommends fossil rather than synthetic oil because they ~"haven't accumulated the long term data necessary to recommend synthetic." At least that's what my 2005 Product Update DVD narrator said. But then it's now 2010, so .....
