!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh my god

:rant::rant:

Took my car back to the dealership to get a compression test.. i told them it was having some issues starting.. hesitation of power, and wite smoke out the tail pipes early int he morning..
i go the first time and i get charged 110 bucks for them to hold my car for a couple of hours and tell me tha i need to pu my stock cat and stock coils back on.. i do as they say.......
i take the car again.. and still no compression test done.. they are f**Ken taking me through loops and holes. i think they are trying to get me to pay diagnose fee tha isnt covered under warranty.. and if they pull this on me and charge me another 110 bucks and say my car is fine im gonna be soo pissed i dont even know what im gonna do lol..
(tech sais low rpm power seemed fine) and everything looks good. but i want a compression test why do they turn it the other way and avoid it.. i already got a compression test and it was LOW!!!!! WTF!!!
my last dealership has alwayshelped me out but this one here sucks! i called another dealr and they all see to want to diagnose it and charge then do the compression test and charge MORE on top of that before they warranty it out. IM NOT GONNA PAY ANYMORE MONEY WHEN I GO PICK UP MY CAR TOMORROW!

anyone work a dealership and know why they do this kind of stuff to people?:banghead:

If they improperly diagnosed your car then they should refund you. You are paying $110.00 for a CORRECT diagnosis.

nothing but thieves!

but hey at least they said they wont charge me anyting until they diagnose the issue.. ease of mind... but its still annoying that they dont want to check compression.. i was honest and not BS them about anything i just want some consideration ya know?

they dont' want to compression test it becuase if they diagnose it wrong and give u a free motor and headquarters finds out that it's still good and it's not the motor the tech that did it must pay for the motor...and prob also when they have to put a motor in under warranty they don't get paid near the same amount of money as if the customer is flipping the bill...

No, Mazda trained the local tech and they are going to trust him. The core that is returned to the rebuild depot isn't going to be tested. The Mazda tech already did that. They are just going to start with the tear down.

If I remember correctly, they get about 80% of the labor for warranty work. That is still money in their pocket that they don't have to risk you taking your car somewhere else to get your work done.

ok possibly may be like that at mazda....or with engine warranties but i know that if on other things a tech warranties a part that is not bad and they find out then the tech is paying for it....like a/c compresor or something in that matter just a part replacement like that...might b differnet for a motor

idk.. but i got it tested and it tested low..... restoring it back to stock aleviated the issues but even with the stock cat.. the car still idles funny just not as noticeable as with straight pipe..
they said they arent gonna charg me until they diagnose the issue and if i refuse repairs then ill just pay the diagnose fee... but even that last time i piad 110 for nothing.. ugh just a pain. im always on top of my car.. and its not running so great... even though the ech says it is.. but i want compression test not a BUTT DYNO

Print out this TSB and take it with you and ask them to perform it on your car. Make sure you complain about low power and lack of idle speed.

I will print it out and show them tomorrow when i go for my car.
