not another help me start my 8 thread

I wanted to share some information with everyone, incase it helps anyone who also is very stumped, with a flooded 8. I am sure someone has suggested this one time, somewhere, yes i searched, read deflood proceedures, maintain my car properly etc. save your flaming.

99k miles on chassis, rebuilt under warrantee by mazda under previous owner. Now at 29k 2004 manual, hailing from northern kentucky, my 8 stalled at a light in neutral. With no poof of smoke, hickup, or anything. After many push starts, jumps, washer fluid attempts, oil in maintenence port attempts ( by a mazda employee also stumped ), we discovered the ENTIRE essentric shaft position sensor bolt. was missing. i kid you not. as well the sensor fell out. still plugged in. New bolt, sensor in, with the fuel pump fuse pulled, she kicked over the 5th turn. Many clouds later all is good.

So, if your having every problem, have good ignition, a good starter, gas, and n/a, check your ess sensor!!! This may have happened from how low my car is, i do hit frame, but i have no idea. it literally fell out.

Good luck guys

That's a first........................least I've never heard if it.

Bouncing the frame along the pavement is certainly going to cause unpredictable issues...

I'd classify this as just "clean your ESS". If it's not there, you will notice, and you can install a clean one at that point.

ha ha ha......................yeah...............I've had to clean mine, but it's always been there! :)

possibly. i actually managed to get the tech who did the sensors on my replacement motor come out and fix it! thanks to instagram! haha... its been good since. just so odd. I figure the motor vibration alone would be enough to loosen it if it werent properly torqued!
