Noise from Intake?
I was wondering if anyone had any similar issues with the AEM CAI. I've noticed under hard acceleration from 2nd or 3rd gear between 5-7k RPM some sort of vibration or rattling noise. It almost sounds like a car with a bad engine is struggling to accelerate. (best as I can describe it).
1st gear is fine I can accelerate all the way to 9k without hearing the sound. I'm not 100% sure its being caused by the intake and I'm trying to make sure its not some panel or anything that's vibrating aggressively against the car. |
Does it sound like cards is the spokes of a bicycle wheel, or marbles/screws shaken in a can?

I'll get my dealer to put on a new cold air intake filter.
Has anyone had success removing the chatter by doing this? (2007 RX-8) |

Be sure the intake system is properly installed, including that the intake screens are not askew in the ducts and the couplers are properly aligned.
