need help fast
ok my car is a 04 with 98,000 miles not sure how past owners kept it up. well I was driving it home the other night and it died twice, anyway the next day I tried to take it to a shop and when I turned it on it was idling at like 4000 rpms. and when you push the gas it just jumps and shakes like when you let off the clutch not giving it enough gas. it does it even if you are giving it a lot of gas it just shakes harder so I parked it. just wondering if anyone knows whats going on before I pay 60 for tow and 50 to hook it up to get a estament thanx.

anyone?

get it to the dealer and get a compression test... you prolly need a new engine
|
You've got warranty on the engine block until 100,000 miles.
Never heard of it idling that fast. Sounds like something is stuck in your throttle body. I had a AEM screen go into the throttle body and it was stuck at 3200 rpm. Check the MAF also. Look for vacuum leaks. Hoses that have fallen off. Check the Throttle body electrical connector at the throttle body. Make sure it's in and secure, same with the MAF connection. |
that would suck balls the place where I am buying it from said they would do a side note not sure what that means but my guess is cover the cost then add it on to my total cost but I don't think they would cover that

You haven't bought the car yet? If you haven't, take it back and say the deal is off until it runs SAFELY!
|
the nearest dealer is 120 miles away no way I could get it there for warranty
|
u can check the intake yourself.
pop the intake box off. open it up and check if anything is stuck and make sure the maf sensor is clean. |
I would hate to give the 8 up though
|
go to the dealer even if its 120 miles away. its gonna be 150(or around there) for a compression test. but you get a new rebuilt engine. so
|
I don't think they would give you your money back. It's more like if you don't fix the car , give me my money back.
How long have you had it. And is the deal signed and done? |

Low compression is not going to cause the engine to idle at 4grand. |
I've had it for 5 months and I signed all the paper work I'm just having trouble paying the damn sales tax and they won't add it on to the payments but yeah I guess taking it to the dealer would be the best thing
|
or just give it back
