Codes?

Have you checked for vacuum leaks?

MAF and intake clean?

Mods?

Please give more info on your setup. For instance, was the car stored with the battery out? How many miles? What ignition are your running? Fuel level? Did you stabilize your gas? Do you premix?

Note that when the battery is disconnected, the car has to re-learn fuel trims. There've been a few that stall after running on the highway in the first couple of drive cycles. If this is the problem, it will just disappear.

Next, start with the intake (it's easiest).

If you just put your new intake in over the winter, make sure you have connected and/or plugged all the vacuum lines (especially where you removed the VFAD) & the line from underneath the oil filler cap. Clean the MAF with some MAF cleaner and make sure the electrical connections are clean and tight. Check the throttle unit for gunk buildup and no air leaks at the same time.

If all is well, then the problem is narrowed down to either ignition or fuel. Ignition is the next easiest to check......

Check for intermittent clutch pedal switch operation. There are two and you may as well check both while you are under the dash.;)

Get the code pulled and let us know.
Sounds very familiar... but want to know what the code(s) are before speculating.

yea sounds like the car needs to just re learn the fuel trims... that happens to my 8 every time i disconnect the battery

Check you Alternator readings, take it to Auto Zone for free check up, also you might wanna check your spark plugs + wires, coils etc. consider upgrading.

How often is the maintance done in your car + aprox daily mileage ?
