It's the coolant light. have you checked the coolant level yet?

bugster 07-25-2008 09:29 AM

It is the coolant level light, sensor is in the coolant overflow reservoir. Some folks (me included) have had the light come on often even though the coolant is at the proper level. The only way to replace the sensor is the whole coolant tank replaced for about $150. If your coolant level is OK when engine is cold, your sensor may be going bad. I just disconnected mine, never had a level sensor in my previous cars, why need one now, eh? Just make sure you keep an eye on your coolant if you do disconnect. You can search in this section for the previous thread about it.

As previously stated................go to www.mazdausa.com in the owner section, register, and download a manual for free. There are some useful things on that owners site.............including a free manual.
