Oil dripping from oilpan area
Yo.
Some of you might remember me rebuilding my rx-8 recently. She has been running very good after the rebuild and everything is going well except for a small oil leak / dripping from oil pan with the motor mount leg on it.
My rx-8 leaks / drips oil anywhere I go and this is very noticeable in the rain. also on dry parking areas when ever I turn the car off and lets say I visit the store and I come back, there is fresh oil on the ground. I tried to apply some silicon around the motor mount but that really didn't help...
I have few pictures attached here of the situation and if anyone has ideas why it could be and will just changing the oilpan silicon / seal fix this I'd appreciate it. The leak seems to be coming either from the motor mount or the silicon under it. Could the motor mount spot be cracked on the iron?.... Little worried over this.
first picture is one of the oil pan bolts right under the motor mount. both adjacent bolts are wet from oil and drips.
