AT to MT abs reprogram

I have a 04 rx8 use to be a auto engine and trans swapped to a 6port with a 6speed manual transmission.
The abs unit doesn't match the ecu does anyone know who could program it to match?

I called mazda dealer and there tech doesn't want to touch it. I tried to explain to the service writer to tell his master tech what would he do if a abs unit went bad and needed to be replaced? wouldn't they have to program it? His reply was I don't know.

so im stuck with the abs and traction lights on

Yup, you have to go through a dealer. If they won't touch it, you are SOL.

It is one of the problems with trying to do this conversion. The only way around the problem is if you use the ECU, ABS module, immobilizer, and each other electronics module from the same car that you got the ECU from. They are all tied to the ECU and need a dealer's re-program to unpair/re-pair. You may also have problems coding your own keys to the immobilizer module, and probably will need at least the keys to that other vehicle, and/or the ignition, trunk, door, glovebox, and pass-through lock cylinders as well to swap them all in.

yeah ill try calling another dealer and just tell them the abs unit was replaced and I need it paired or reprogramed.
if that doesn't work ill end up swapping everything over from my other rx8 ecu, immobilizer, abs module if I can find it. I don't want to if I don't have to.

thanks for the help

I never done a "at to mt swap then code ABS" before, but I do have dealership computer, been researching it for the past 3-4 months. I should be able to help you if you're close to NYC area. for a small fee of course.

process should take about 5-15 minutes.

...or find someone like NYCGPS :)

The ABS module is attached to the brake force distribution block. Look for the brake fluid hard lines all coming together in the engine bay. It's attached to the block those all run into.

yeah I ended up changing the abs block ecu immobilizer antenna and rke all from my other rx8 does the guage cluster also have to match?
the car starts but both abs and traction control lights are on :(

I'm not sure about the gauge cluster. I don't think it has to match since they are swapable.

Those lights could be from just needing to re-learn the parameters (like from a battery disconnect), but it could be something bigger. No idea.

Gauge cluster doesn't matter.

U need to set the abs in Mazda ids. Which only a few people(like me) and dealership has

If u have no abs code, then u just need to set it and u will be good to go(dealer)

I believe IDS & Incode tool will handle it, no?

Most ppl have no idea wtf is Ids, so "dealership computer" might be a better term

I dunno, like I said I never done it, but I do know which part of ids handles the said operation
