Misfire only when using boost controller
 

I have been working on getting a tune on my car to get me by till i can get a pro tune done. life has been a little hectic at the moment to find the time and cash to get it done. However, i have been running off the wastegate (5lb) and just getting the tune to the right a/f. I have the a/f pretty steady at 10.9 to 11.1 running off the wastegate spring and have no issues at all no matter how i drive the car. I turn on the EBC and just up the boost ever so slightly - about 7lbs. Now i get a misfire at around 6-7000 rpm. the car boggs a little but afr stays about the same. Maybe goes slightly more rich. Obviously i dont push the car when i get the misfire. It feels as if its ignition related.

about 3000 on a rebuilt motor
esmeril kit to start with but upgraded to Turblown's hybrid gt35 turbo
injectors are stock, 800cc and 1000cc
new plugs about 750 miles ago
stock leading and rx7 trailing plugs
ls2 coils along with new wires at same time as rebuild
michrotech software

I am thining its an ignition or timing issue. anyone have any other ideas on what this could be?

I plan on jsut running on the spring really, but was wanting to make sure i had the boost controller hooked up correctly before i pull onto a dyno again and this is what started me wondering aobut this misfire issue. Thanks for the help guys..
