mazdaspeed cold air
i just install the cold air intake on my car from mazdaspeed but the check engine light is on with 2 codes (PCM/P0300,RKEP0039) i need help please
|
You probably have a vacuum leak. Make sure all of your lines are secure and ziptie or clamp down ones that feel loose. Get the codes read ASAP.
|
I believe this cell RKEP0039 has been determined to be nothing.
Search the ECU tunning threads. P0300 is random misfire. One of the causes is a leak on the intake. Recheck and tighten the install. Also, clean the MAF. |
Cleaning the MAF should be something everyone does at least once a year.
|
thank to everyone who replay to my post, i'm going to check that about the leak and also cleaning the maf sensor again but also i have pulleys and i forgot to mentioned them before but i really don't think this is the problem i really think it could be the cold air so i'm going to check that, thank you

I also installed a Mazda Speed cold air, I had to get it tuned in order for the light to go off.

I have the MS CAI i had a similar problem. I capped the wrong vacuum line. Make SURE that you got the right one on the manifold. The directions are a little vague on that step.

underdrive pulleys require tuning? thats wrong too. if you changed your crank pulley do the NVRAM Reset procedure that may help. a CAI and underdrive pulleys wont set off a CEL requiring a tune in almost any car i could think of. kevin. |

Unless the installer is an idiot. there is NO WAY that they can install the MS CAI wrong ...

don't know but i'm going to get the second opinion
