low compression code

Hi guys!! Is there a code for low compression?? If there is.. Is there somebody out there who knows?? And what are the signs if you have low compression??

No, there is no low compression CEL, because there is no sensor that detects low compression.


The symptoms of low compression are all shared by at least 1 other problem. Over half of the symptoms of low compression are shared among ALL of our common issues. The only way to know your compression number is to have a dealer do a compression test.

no, there is no code.

Signs- bad fuel mileage, hard "hot starts", low power, etc etc etc. Some of those are signs of something different. Could be all of this. Could be none. A recent member thought his engine was 100%. Failed the comp test.

A rotary compression test is the only real way to know.
