low compression code
No, there is no low compression CEL, because there is no sensor that detects low compression.
The symptoms of low compression are all shared by at least 1 other problem. Over half of the symptoms of low compression are shared among ALL of our common issues. The only way to know your compression number is to have a dealer do a compression test.
Might want to check out more details on my thread here: https://www.rx8club.com/new-member-forum-197/new-potential-owners-start-here-202454/ (first 8 posts)
I typed it once, not much reason to retype.

no, there is no code.
Signs- bad fuel mileage, hard "hot starts", low power, etc etc etc. Some of those are signs of something different. Could be all of this. Could be none. A recent member thought his engine was 100%. Failed the comp test.
A rotary compression test is the only real way to know.
