so that says it all, during acceleration after 4k it sounds like a damn vtec equipped pos. New plugs and coils, decarb too. I'm getting major misfire on r2.

I hope something isn't wrong internally, I'll post a video when I get home and off my phone.

Please help me out guys. If it's the engine were can I get something prebuilt for 3k or less that's boost ready?

Wires?
How many miles on the car?
How new are the coils? And...........they have been bad right out of the box.
Doesn't sound like it that much, but check that your wires are in decent shape and that they are on secure.



You said you did a decarb...............why? What were original symptoms that lead to that and changing the coils?

yea like he said, make sure that the wires are installed
A) Correctly, in the right order
B) Firmly, pushed in all the way til it clicks.

**Update**

I found the fix, the bolt holding the flywheel to the eccentric shaft was missing somehow. Our guess is this threw the balance off as it was making the flywheel/clutch set slide back and forth.

The noise is gone and the misfiring, thanks for the help everyone.
