Installed BHR ignition Kit, now CEL flashing when hitting high rpms...

I installed the BHR ignition setup properly, in addition to new factory plugs that Charles included for me. I made sure to take my time during the install to ensure that I matched up the leading and trailing wires to their appropriate plugs and to not overtighten each plug and not flex the wires, but make sure they were seated properly. Also, when I pulled the stock plugs, they were very VERY fouled, one of the leading plugs was straight black.

Now then, the ISSUE:

I have recently noticed that when decelerating in 2,3,and 4th gear and the rpms reach anything above 6500, the car stutters and the CEL flashes. This only seldomly happened before installing the BHR ignition kit. I was hoping you guys would have an answer for me as to why it may be happening. My CEL is now permanently on and I'm going to check the code with my AP tomorrow, but Im almost positive that its going to be the misfire code (since thats what the flashing CEL means).

Some other information: I only use 93 octane every fill up, in addition to your BHR ignition kit, I have a cobb accessport with their stage 1 map on it, a drop in K&N air filter, and everything else is stock.

I'd be curious to know what the code # is.

This part caught my eye:

sounds like there was some issue before and now it's happening more often? Hmm...
how your cat looking?

I know this sounds trivial: but are you POSITIVE that the wires are attached ALL the way. The wires fit VERY snug so you have to make sure you push on them pretty hard to get them on the plug all the way.

hey 35,000 miesl on my 8
the car wouldnt reach over 6500 7000 rpm my foot would be to the floor..and it wouldnt go any faster no high on the tach or speed...the check engine flashed then went off i took it to get it check..maultiple misfire cylinder two..so i changed all four coils and plugs today..ran a little better at first then started to do the same thing..was going to change the wires to msd but would see if anyone else had the same problem on here before i went and spent the cash..someone mentioned the fuel filter may be pluged but it just dosent really feel like that would be the problem..anyone have a good way to get the pump out of the tank to clean the filter?..
thanks for your help

The plug wires when installing at the plug make a loud (for the most part) click sound when they are seated. Most of the time you can feel it too. Make sure they are on all the way. The wire order from front of car to to back on the coils is L1 T1 L2 T2. I'm sure you did that right. Just double check the wires at the plugs and check your ground location.

The misfire code is an ignition code not a fuel code. Fuel starvation will cause a lack of power issue but generally only under load.

Honestly I would recommend taking the whole kit out and installing again... triple check your work sounds like a ground or wire isn't fully seated.

Also check all the vacuum lines you took off or clamps you undid.

Is there any update on this. I have the Esmiril racing upgrade and I am having the same issue. Tried everything to no avail. Is it possible that the coil or harness is bad?

reset the e-shaft profile n00bs

^You have to explain it to them Team.

/\ that's helpful...

My bad, let me spoon feed it...to reset the the e-shaft profile you do the 20 brake pedal stomp procedure.

I have done both resets and I am still running into this issue. I am going to take out the kit and see if the stock one is having this issue as well. I believe that this might be an issue with the Cat as it seems that causes similar problems, but that would be awfully coincidental. I have checked and rechecked the wires and grounds several times now.

Any update?
