Inside Light Flickering

I am now sure how to word this but at time when I open my door, either door, my car's lights flash rapidly and makes like a clicking noise. It does not happen every single time but enough that I notice/

I heard from 2 people it maybe some wires and not a fuse because a fuse would either work or wouldnt work..

Any Clues?

Im not sure if the interior light runs through a relay, if it does, could be the relay is playing up.You are refering to the interior light ?

Sounds like your car has the vibration sensor option on the alarm. Module is behind the passenger side footpanel, high up and secured to the wire bundle there. Adjuster knob on the side.

Thanks Stealth, I just learned something else useful.

I am not sure that is what is happening here as I too have the shock sensor and it doesn't trigger any flashing lights or clicking. Granted if the car is armed it will set off the alarm.

Yeah very weird, I dont know

OP, when you say your "car's lights", do you mean the interior lights?
If so, the flickering is caused by release of the door switch? Door switch is the switch covered with rubber in the door jamb that tells the body control module (or whatever) that the door is closed.

I'd start targeting the problem from there.

I had a faulty door switch replaced very early when I purchased my car new and it had similar issues to the one you described.

Mine used to do that, I think the problem was an early design of the shock module - it would chatter like that (but not actually alarm) as I got out and closed the doors. There was a redesign that added a delay, I think.
