Indication of compression loss?
Just wondering if there are any obvious indications of compression loss during normal everyday driving? I've been driving up and down the same hill everyday for the last 5 years. Previously, the car will maintain it's speed going down hill with engine braking in 4th gear. But lately, it's not holding the same speed anymore. Engine braking slows the car down by compression right?
Any thoughts? |
Rotaries don't have the best engine braking.
Typical symptoms are low/erratic idle, weak off-line throttle response, low idle engine intake vacuum and stalling. |
