IAT Sensor
 

I was installing a new cold air intake, and I forgot to reattach the MAF on the midpipe before starting it up. I obviously got the DTC and remembered what I forgot to attach. I plugged in the wire connector to the MAF and cleared the DTC and freeze frame data (have scanalyser) and restarted the car. To my surprise it is showing the battery light, traction control light, and engine light. I get the code P0112 which is for IAT low input on... What does this mean, is it the sensor that is broken or is it some wire loose? Mabye the fuse box.... I don't know much about the electronics, help me out. The alternator is still charging and everything is working as it should... not sure about the traction control light.

If you disconnected the battery at any time then you need to turn the wheel fully to the left, to the right, then back to center. This should fix the traction control light, but only if the battery was disconnected.

Is there anything shorting out the MAF sensor?

I'm so happy. For 2 weeks I've been driving around with those errors on, and worrying about the car. I was monkeying around with it today for many hours and found that the intake temp was sitting at 246 which I think is the max the computer can read it at. So I adjusted the signal to the wire and it corrected the temperature. Now it is at a constant 19 degrees and all the lights went out! Hurray for me. Hope this helps anyone else who messes their Maf Up.

Can we get a little clarification on what you did that actually solved the problem?

I usually adjust my wire by giving it a jiggle.

If he put a resistor into the line, he is looking at a world of hurt...

Yes can you please clarify yourself on how you fixed the problem. I too have put a aftermarket intake on and now I have a cel and the traction control light is on.

I have an aftermarket intake (LOL) and I am getting the traction control light too. Maybe I doinked my MAF during some of the fun playtime I had with it? So I should just jiggle it?

I had this problem recently. The traction, battery, and CE Light came on when the car was started in the morning. The car (automatic) would not shift above 4th gear. After I would drive the car for a few miles, all but the CEL would clear if I turned off the car and turned it back on. Also, until the battery light turned off (would do this w/o reseting) if I stopped it would then let me shift higher than 4th gear.

I go in this detail to hopefully help anyone else out that is having this problem.

The fix was rather simple and pretty much what pyro0849 said. All I did was reseat every electrical plug that I saw in the engine compartment (not fuses) and push the wires in towards the plug connection. After that I turned the car off then on and the Battery/traction light cleared. I then reset the learned settings on the ECU and the CEL cleared. It has been 3 days and the problem has not returned at all.
