Clean the MAF sensor on the intake with MAF cleaner, check the intake acordian for oil in it clean the throttle body and check ur motor mounts for cracks or deformation

i have a aftermarket aem intake

Mr.We$t 04-20-2010 07:21 PM

Ok check the pipe then check the filter for oil, sometimes when 2much oil is added it can over flow into the intake

No prob glad I could help I believe that black soot is carbon build up but I could b wrong

zmrx8zm 04-20-2010 07:51 PM

ok so what should i do for the carbon build up if thats it

Mr.We$t 04-20-2010 08:01 PM

Well on the throttle body clean both sides it's gonna take some scrubbing but it comes off I used the MAF cleaner on that aswell when u finish it should be pretty shiny again then u might wanna do a decarb or seafoam which ever u prefer I did the decarb with a can of Mazda zoom zoom engine cleaner and used a DIY on this site it was easy and pretty funny when people was stoping in the street staring at my car thinking it was gonna explode lol! Once that's done u should b ok if that was the problem!!
