how do i remove the o2 Sensor?

Got a RP supercat and ive managed to disconnect the wire part from the stock cat but I can't manage to remove the o2 sensor. Can anyone help me at all? My car is a sitting duck until I can get it off. The rest of the install is pretty simple and basic, the o2 sensor is the hard part.

any feedback is greatly appreciated.

thank you,
-Patrick

The sensor is probably stuck in the CAT. It is really common for the threads to get so stuck that you can't get it out. I had that problem with mine...and I just bought a new sensor for the high flow setup...and left the old one in the stock CAT for when I put it back in for emissions. AFAIK...it was about $120 for a new one.

If it won't come out, it isn't going to come out without destroying it.
I did what dannobre did.
However, one day I decided to see what it would take to get the old one out.
Essentially, it took about 900 ft/lbs of torque (8 foot section of schedule 40 pipe on an 18", 1/2-drive breaker bar with a very deep 22mm impact socket) to destroy the threads enough for it to release itself.
The threads in the bung seem to have survived, however.

I managed to get it out after soaking it in WD40 unfortunately now, I have a CEL. anyway to clear the code? I know to take it to pep boys/autozone etc etc to get it read. but after getting it read is there anything i can do to clear it?
