Hesitation/jerks... Transmission issue?

Hey all,

I have an 04 rx8 automatic. Recently (past couple days) i've experienced some hesitation or "jerking" in forth gear cruising at about 70 mph. Its not violent however out of the ordinary. ATF is clean and at the right level. Any Ideas what may be causing this? Thanks in advance!

How many miles on it? What kind of maintenance has been done to the car?

Getting any flashing CELs with this? First guess leans me toward misfires being incurred at engine load. Doing 70 in 4th gear would have you pretty well up on the tach - no inherent problem with that, but does mean that there is load and more spark demand on the motor at that point.

41000 miles, i keep up with all maintenance very well and always on time. There was not a cel light nor any other idiot lights. This happened on my way to work so i posted this before i actually looked at anything. Turned out one of the hose clamps let lose on the intake and the hose poped out of the coupler. Reattached it and that seemed to take care of it.

Not so. On the 4-speed A/T the ratio is 25 mph per 1000 rpm in 4th gear. So, at 75 mph the engine would be turning 3000 rpm.
