help with exhaust

hi everyone. my friend and I are trying to install a turbo xs catback exhaust system. we are having trouble removing catalytic flange bolt. can someone who has done this mod please tell us what tools you used to remove it. also do we need a springs compressor to fit the springs back on with the turbo xs bolts in come with? we pretty much took care of everything except that cat flange bolt for the B-pipe that we cannot remove. please help! thanks a lot.

Penetrating oil and a johnson bar should do the trick.
A spring compressor shouldn't be required as the bolts are fairly long.
For my RB cat back we re-used the bolts/gasket on the Cat side. On one side the nut came off but on the other side the bolt came out. No problem either way.
Good luck.

Old thread but I'm having problem with the spring loaded bolt.

The nut came off on one side but the bolt came off on the other with the nut still attached.
The bolt with the nut + spring doesn't have enough length to reach the threaded holes.

I have tried clamping the bolt to get the nut loose with no luck and I've also tried compressing the spring with no luck. Is there a trick to this? or is there a miniature spring compressor that I can use while I bolt it back on.

Thanks

Problem solved, borrowed a huge monkey wrench and with a breaker bar, snapped the nut off.
