hello , my car has the D2-M014
specs
* Fully adjustable (36-way dampening(51mm shocks), and ride height)

* Pillow ball mounts included w/ camber plates!
* Telflon-coated threads

and i have problem..o went to 2 local stores here to fix my problem but every time they fix something and the destroy something else

i want if someone can tell me in numbers or a guide...what i have to put on this to work smooth on road without knocking on the back side of the car...and the high that i have to put it

thanks a lot

knocking could be anything. You will need to narrow this down a bit.

Is the knocking more of a spring binding? - a light spring binding makes a ping type noise, while a heavy bind would knock/clunk. I am finding varying pictures of the setup online (not sure if you have pics in this thread, can't see at work), but assuming that you have linear springs (each coil is the same diameter, progressive springs would have larger coils in the middle) measure the uncompressed height of the rear spring, it should at the very least be 175mm.

Is the knocking happening on very slight articulations in the road? - this would make very repetitive clunk clunk clunk noises when going slow over small bumps. If so, this is very commonly caused by loose or not properly aligned endlinks. Make sure endlinks are tightly fastened. Also make sure all bolts that connect the coilover to the vehicle are tight as well

wait start all over again because this makes no sense. what kind of knocking are you getting ?

hmm ...when i am passing those thing that put on the roads for not running fast... normal speed too slow......at the end that the car is leaving is like the spring is going to the end ..and i got a big knocking from the back side ....also at small road holes same at front side

you are saying that when you are going over a speed bump at a slow speed you hear a clunking noise coming from the rear?

Did you preload the rear springs and how many turns?

did you make sure that your sway bar links were installed correctly and that the bar was not preloaded when you tightened the nuts?

I installed ksports two weeks and cam across this issue and that was because I incorrectly installed my swaybar and I had to buy new links. I was having a rattling issue when i went over rough roads and bumps and it was my sway bar. make sure all your bolts are nice and tight. Also what settings did you leave your dampers at?

this is the problem i dont know what settings and how to put.....i went to a local store and he did what ever he want

check you sway bar end links and make sure they are not bent or loose. try wiggling it.

There are a lot of things that can "knock" back there.....

wheel on body
spring on mounting points
shock on bump stop/or mount
end links...
one of the rear suspension link ends
Mounts for differential...or part of the powerplantframe
some part of the suspension is loose...
something is binding because the ride height is too low....

etc....

Lift it up and start systematically checking it out. I would suggest an alignment shop as the hoists they have tend to make it easier to lok at the suspension when loaded...

lol i found out that 2 off htem are not tide up

just fixing them now :P

bse50 11-13-2012 05:52 AM

Since those coilovers are crap... chances are they might just keep clunking.

hellbringer 11-13-2012 11:48 AM

everything tide up .... and the coils are set as manufacturer says ...and works perfect

thanks a lot
