I have a 04 AT RX8. Today there was a big car crash in the road leading to my house, making a big traffic jam. When I was nearing my house I noticed the temp go a little bit higher than usual. After letting it cool down, I turned on the car without the AC and eventually the right fan kicked in; but the left one never did, with or without the AC on.

My questions is (being a complete noob about this subject), what things should I check before assuming that the fan engine is broken?
