Hard start new starter or new engine?
 

I went down a friends house last night to check my compression with the hand hald tester Phil got from the group buy sometime back.

My numbers

060 057 059 RPM @ 184
R
065 069 071 @ 191 RPM

I have had a few hard starts and its been getting worst. But! heres the thing, its hit and miss. Sometimes its hard to start sometimes its not :Wconfused
2004 mt 67,k miles changed to mobil 1 full sys 0w-40 oil about 6,k miles (2 oil changes ago), been premixing sence 21,k miles, Change oil every 2,500 miles, redline my car everyday.

Using the compression calculator I got (rounded):

85 89 91

Mazda's specs are:
Standard = 120psi @ 250rpm
Minimum = 98.6psi @ 250rpm

I know the calculator is useful for corrections, but wouldn't the numbers change if he was turning the engine quicker (closer to 250rpm).
I'm obviously no expert on compression testing ;)
