Hard To Shift out of 1st

Good Morning RX-8 Community!

I'm having an "issue" with shifting out of 1st when under moderate to heavy acceleration (lets say anything greater than 50% throttle input). Anytime I'm in first and giving it >50% throttle, it's fairly difficult to shift out of first (requires much more effort versus going from 2nd to 3rd, 4th to 5th, etc) and it also results in a loud *THUNK* sound. Anyone have any ideas?

This ONLY happens while shifting out of 1st under moderate to hard acceleration. Tested only while the car is warm (as I wouldn't be gassing it so hard if it were cold =P) I've got a 2006 with 36k miles on it 6Spd Manual.

Please let me know if I need to clarify, Thanks!

Like I said in my previous post, I had the same issue and just replaced all my syncros almost 2 years ago... been running over 25k ever since and no problems at all, be carefull how you shift and beat your clutch....
