Fuel Injector resistances
I searched the forum but can't seem to find an answer as to what the stock fuel injector resistances should be. I read one thread that listed injector size and said they should be about 13 ohms. Is this correct? If so then would the fact that my primary injectors read 11.3-11.5 and my secondaries read 14.3-14.5 cause problems?

As long as they open when u apply 12V i would not worry.

I have a set in my garage.
I will go out in check those ones to compare. |

So ... i measured a complete set of injectors wich were cleaned, got all filters and seals replaced and flow tested. All were slightly dripping before and had a not so nice spray pattern... they worked perfect afterwards.
All the injectors measurerd around 13,8 Ohms ... see pic here --> http://rx-8.weebly.com/uploads/3/9/7...29591_orig.jpg If u get inconsistent measures clean all the connectors on the injectors. Make sure you measure them at the same temperature. Then after connecting give them some time to stabilize the reading... |

Hmm .. did u measure it with the same multimeter with same clamps and so on?
Maybe u clean the contacts and re-measure with a bit of time ... my multimeter takes 30 seconds to stabilize ... its not a good one of course but i have consistent readings with it. ...that said. Get them bench tested and cleaned somewhere near you .. its not expensive and you can make sure they are working fine. Its around 24€ per injector around here for cleaning, replacing filters and rubber gromments and seals and flow benching/spray pattern analysis. Don't know how much that is over there but im sure thats a good thing for a long lasting, healthy engine. Greetings Thomas |
Sorry for the delay
:( I left the batteries in my multi-meter and they leaked out not a good result. Two red primaries 13.7 and 14 ohms Yellows 13.6, 13.7, 13.6, 13.8 |
