Flooding covered by warranty?
Hello,
My car has been flooded, and towed into the stealership. Apparently, they want 300 bucks to deflood it. Is this covered under warranty? And if not, how do they get away with this? Do you think Corporate Mazda may do anything? Thanks! |
if you are still under the basic mazda warranty you are covered for engine flooding they can even replace spark plugs as a part of the procedure....4206f is the campaign

Think this would be applicable to canadian models? |
Did you receive the Mazda DVD for Flooding procedure, you can't turn the car on and turn it off less than 3 minutes, also Rotary needs to be warmed at least every 3 days to avoid carbon built up into the engine , manifold etc.., depending on weather if it's cold weather than at least warm it up every 2 days for 10 minutes. If you're in the warm weather you can be at least 5 days without turning it on, but don't recomend waiting too long or you'll be sorry to have to call a towing company if you can't start it.

How can the warranties for canada and the US be that different? Am I being screwed and what can I do? Thanks, Brad |
mileage and model year.
any modifications? generally flooding will only be covered by the basic warranty and theoretically even then it doesnt really have to be covered if all your flashes and parts are up to date. it's generally dependent on the dealer, even the mazda corporate said no they may not fully know the situation as far as how up to date your vehicle is. kevin. |
The car is stock except for a bodykit (front, back and hood).
The car is an 07 with 13000 KM (8000 miles). Mazda corporate and the dealer are telling me I have to pay. The car is a canadian car if it matters. Any tips? I need my car back soon and may be forced to pay unless you can help. |
if your getting a no from corp then theres not much else you can do at this point....sorry
|
yea whatever corporate says sorta is all there's written.
Kevin. |
