Flashing CEL while doing 100?

CEL flashed about 6 or so times until I got off the gas. I was going quite fast. What on earth? I did a search for CELs and haven't found anything except a couple of misfire threads? Could that be me?

Could be. Have the dealer pull any codes that may be stored in the ECU. Random misfires apparently are not uncommon when getting on it. May be a coil or spark plug problem.

That happened to me.

First big run to 130+, and of course CEL starts to blink. As if you're not a bit on edge and hyped up (aka scared) from the speed, a CEL doesnt give you confidence either!

In my case, it was a bad coil or misfire. Because after that, it ran like shit. It couldnt keep up with highway speed. It eventually 'fixed itself', but the dealership replaced a bad coil.

It can happen if you are below 1/4 of a tank of gas. It uses it faster than it can suck it in.

1/2 tank.

The MIL (CEL) only blinks if a misfire that is bad enough to hurt the catalyst is happening, Happens when the engine goes lean, this overheats the cat. Can actually cause it to explode or melt.
