a few questions
 

Hey everybody, this morning on my way to work I got the blinking cell and p301 pending code. I know form past experience thats missfire on the front rotor. IThe thing is I changed my plugs and coils at the end of december this seems a bit premature.
last week the screen in my aem intake tipped completly sideways and created enough drag in the air flow that it caused the engine to run lean stall out and damn near die. I since then fixed the screens and the ive been problem free for about 4 days.
The question could that one time running lean issue have ruined or fouled out the plugs?
Ive never tried to clean up and reuse plugs on my 8 is that possible? I dont see why not but everything i thought i knew about automotive has been challanged by this machine.

Since you just replaced the plugs and coils, don't immediately jump to plugs and coils as the cause. There are lots of other reasons for misfires, most of them easy to address. ESS, MAF, plug wires, vacuum leak, etc...

Thanks for the reply I just figgured ide let everybody know where the issue was. Ignition coil # 3 was faulty and upon removal saw the whit corrosion around it. Lucky me I still had My coils still from the last time i replaced them and through trial and error found a remaining good coil and swapped it out now the flashing cell and misfire are gone.

Corrosion on the connection points would indeed cause a problem. White spots on the coils are not an indicator of failure or age. They can fail without any spots, and all coils develop spots eventually, even the ones not failing, and some can develop them faster than others.

Glad you got it fixed though.
