Are you having trouble getting the bottom of the strut lined up with the control arm? It is kind of hard to tell what you still have connected. Did you pop the upper ball joint apart?

im having problems taking he strut out im trying install springs

Here is a pretty good step-by-step.
http://www.hi-impact.org/ryang/modif...ock_front.html You might have to go to an autoparts store to rent a ball joint separator. Good luck and if you have any other questions ask! |

Ya I was going to help set-up the firework show for tonight and then it started raining. I really didn't want to go set fireworks up in the mud haha. In that write-up you don't have to separate the ball joint. I did and it made it easier it seemed like. Just took a lil bit more time. I did the front in about an hour and half. That is from jacking it up to setting it down. You should be able to do it in under 2.5 hours. Good Luck

Thanks much

it's better if it's a two person task. one person pushing down on the brake assembly and control arm while the other tries to maneuver the strut out.
|
yup realized that about 2.5 seconds after starting lookslike ima have to call in a friend and looks like pizza and beer is in order:smiley309

you're not suppose to take the top shock nut loose until after removing the entire assembly from the car and compressing the spring, fortunately you managed not to kill yourself yet, it's still a possibility though because you created a pretty good mess of things by doing so....

Take off the two top arms. That will make your life a lot easier.
