Exhaust Sputter past 6k

hey guys did my research , but found nothing specific to my issue, I know not to rev past 6k, until the car warms up so I know its not the issue, but once the car is warmed up and I rev past the 6k mark, power feels sluggish and the exhaust sputters, not sure what that is. i reset the ecu and going to try it again just before I go to work, anyone have any ideas let me know. I have an 06gt with 43000km on it.

If you want the best help possible it would be beneficial to know the:

Year
Maintenance history
How often this happens
CEL?
Etc
Etc

From what your saying, it sounds like your cat is shot.

my maintenance history is not much besides oil changes every 5k , fuel injector clean every 4 fill ups and recent e test ( passed ) but since i reset the ecu everything seems fine, no cel light on, just strange never heard that and wondered if it happened to someone else.

Speed 8 did you have your CEL read? You can go to Autozone and they do it for free. Once you do this look here to find info associated to the code you get.

no, i currently have my cel on because I got water in my MAF by going through a car wash , but when this happened the cel did not flash again it just stayed on from the previous, but like I said after doing the reset everything went back to normal, I justhad a panic attack thinking my car was about to blow up lol .. I was just wondering if someone had the issue and had a major problem. I going to keep an eye on it when i drive but so far so good ( fingers crossed )
