Engine problems, need some tips

Earlier this year I had a new radiator installed, when the summer came around and the temperature started to hit 90+ the engine needle started moving whenever I accelerated, it goes back to normal whenever I let go of the gas.

I changed the cap to the coolant reservoir since it was warped and was spilling coolant whenever it got super hot. The engine temp seemed to be back to normal but the needle started moving not too long after that.

Over the weekend I noticed a misfire at the very end of the crank and was driving it pretty hard, took it to the track + a couple of races along the country side in Pennsylvania then got baited into a race on the highway on the way home.. So all in all I put about 500 miles on it, the engine temperature stayed normal all throughout and the car drove great.

10 minutes away from my house I make a stop, shut it off...when I go to turn it back on it wouldn't start..after a few minutes of trying it started but there was a big noticeable loss of power then it died 2 more times at idle.

I managed to get it home after waiting a bit before trying to start it. Let it cool down for the day, Monday, it turned on without a problem and ran great. No overheating or anything. Today, the temperatures hit 90+ again and the needle started moving and I noticed a loss of power but nothing as bad as when it shut off.

The car is an 04 AT with 84k miles on it.

Plugs, wires, coils, and air filter were changed a year ago..about 14,000 miles ago. Solenoid valves were also replaced with new ones as well as the cat converter..rotors, breaks, tires and calipers all new as well (prob doesn't matter). Regular maintenance, oil changes, coolant flush, etc. Compression test last year came back fine.

Anyone have any idea what it could be?

Street racing is dangerous, stupid and illegal !!!

That's a pretty good tip.

do you know that talking about street racing will get you banned? Hopefully your car hasn't suffered other issues because of your lack of responsibility...

Tips? Search.

Don't mean to sound like an asshole. If I broke a rule, I deserve the ban. Not going to lose any sleep over that. Only reason it was mentioned is because it was relevant and part of the scenario that led up to the problems which is usually good to know when troubleshooting..not boasting, showing off, or anything of the like...a story to go along with the problem.

If you must know about my outright silly "lack of responsibility"..The majority of the day were all controlled races. Most of them on a track along with time trials then some on closed roads in the backwoods.

Going 10 mph over a 30mph speed limit is also "dangerous , stupid, and illegal" as those 10 miles are a big difference between serious injury and death... however I'm more than positive most here have done it, do it regularly and don't consider it a lack of responsibility.

I've been a member here for a year, with less than 30 posts. Clearly, I'm well aware of the search function. The sequence of problems I'm having with the rx seem a bit unique so I decided to ask for help, no intentions on wasting any ones time.
