Engine lost power, misfiring

So last night my car started losing power, and I had it taken to the dealership. Turns out it needs a few things, but what caused it is 2 of the coils. It needs the upper and lower intake cleaned, 2 coils, and plugs and wires. I'm very new to the Rotary but not to cars. Anyone have any advice on where to start, or recommendations on where to get the parts? The dealership wanted 1400 and some change to complete all the repairs, and my warranty only covers faulty parts not maintenance. So all I'm asking is a little advice. Thanks in advance guys.

Not sure on the upper and lower cleaning, but the pugs/wires/coils are rather easy to do.
Plugs-$100
Coils$-120 for all 4
Wires-$not sure but cant be a lot.

Jack up and remove your driverside wheel, remove the splash-guard. Then replace the plugs. You can also replace wires easily while in this position. The replace coils by unscrewing old ones and placing new ones in. Should cos ya $1000 less than the dealership

if the car's under warranty ask them to check your compression. Worn coils can make the engine die sooner. Since it would be under warranty why not give it a try? ;)
Then do what SauerKraut suggested or get ad upgraded set of coils :)

It's an after market warranty unfortunately that only covers faulty parts...where do you guys suggest I get the coils?

Also the dealer said I shouldn't just replace 2 coils that I should replace all 4...is that necessary?

Yes replace as a set cause the other 2 would not last much longer. They are located in a really hot area and are subject to a lot of thermal stress.

Please give the vehicle details... as others have said if it's 04-05 your gonna want a compression test.

Where in georgia are you? Mazmart is pretty close. They may have some barely used coils for a reasonably low price to get you going again 'till you figure out if you want to keep the car stock or move on to a better solution!
