engine check after engine mods.
 

hey guys,
im new to my rx8 so bare with me. anyways,i installed my aem CAI, tanabe cat-back exhaust, and unorthodox pulleys over the weekend. i put everything back together (MAF sensor, valve check). when i installed the pulleys the instruction said i had to press the brake 20 times for 8 seconds to reset the computer, then turn the wheel all the left to right b/c it has DSC. if the engine light comes on undo battery and do those steps again. i did wat it says and no light. i drive it with dsc off and dsc on to see if the light would go on. then the engine check light comes on dsc on and blinks wenever i go higher than 4,500 rpms. i know thats not normal. everything runs fine. hell it pulls a lot harder and i dont notice anything. should i just wait it out b/c of the computer getting used to the pulleys or sumin? i dont know. i can go to dealer and get a diagnostic if necessary, but i just want to hear wat u guys have to say. thanks.

Did you check the tension on the pulley belt?
When revving higher than 4500 rpm, does the CEL come on while driving, sitting still, or both?
Were you careful to not get the MAF sensor dirty?

You did all the required steps to reset it.
Might have to take it to Autozone to get the code pulled (its free) to help narrow it down since you did a couple mods that could cause this event to occur.
