Ebrake malfunction?

So i'm driving this morning and take an exit ramp which bends left... i take it at like 45-50mph... and out of no where i can a cranking noise and hesitation along with an ebrake light on the dash. I did a search on here and a similar problem was discussed but his resulted in a low brake fluid level which i thought it was too but it wasn't... any ideas?

Traction control took over, stopped the rear from sliding out. Was it wet where it's usually dry pavement?

hmmm well it wasn't wet but i guess i did take it a little quick... the may have also been some gravel on the ground which could have kicked tc in. it happened once before when i was going like 15mph too making probably a 160degree turn.... any fix for it or just live with it?

Yes you are missing something. Knowledge. Take 30 minutes and sit down and read the RX-8 owner's manual, cover to cover.

Somewhere on here there's a link to a pdf of the owner's manual. You really should get it and read it if you own the car.

meanwhile the solution you originally asked is below (from the owners manual). pls use the forum to learn more about what turning this switch off allows the car to do. It's not all good.
