Diagnose problem...

Well I recently installed MS front strut tower, and rear strut tower bars. Left the engine cover off. Drove my car to work today and parked it outside to bake in 28 degree weather for eight hours in the sun. After work, started her and drove home with A/C cranked on 3, about a 40minute drive and I was being quite aggressive.

Got home and left her off in garage for 10 minutes. Came back out, started... and died straight after smoothly. Tried again for four times before finally starting up and staying put. Idle seems normal. No CELs. After that, I drove her around to various places not pushing it as hard as I did earlier, had no problems with starting again.

So I'm wondering if that was just a random problem... Bad gas? Too hot without the engine cover? Or is it an early sign of spark plug replacement?

notes: 44k km on it. All tsbs done. Filled up 3/4 tank of gas in the morning. Engine cover is off now.

Engine cover probably has nothing to do with the stalling problem. May be a random thing, but you will know soon enough.

Have you done the latest reflash? It adds more oil at high ambient temps.

You may have weak coils. They don't like high temps.

I don't think I have the latest flash, but I've never had a problem at hotter temps than it was yesterday.

I'm hoping it was a random thing, since after that happened, I drove her around all day and never had a problem with starting again.

If there is a problem with the coils I will probably get the Mazsport ignition kit, hehe...
