coolant problem

first time posting

So, I bought my car used two month ago 2004 rx8 with 73000 miles. Did body work and paint. Previous owner said that beside body work it need a tune up because of hard start. But I am facing a lot more problems with it right now.
Need some advises.

First of all I have a problem with coooling. Too much preasure in cooling system. Antefreez is leaking out of the coolant recovery tank hose when car is warm. Too much white smoke coming out when car after cold start, and it is flooding often. Not sure if it is related or not. I already change termostat. In my other car it helped. But still the same issue in this one. Fan is working. Sometimes around 5-10 minutes when ignition is off after 20-30 minutes trip it still works. I think that might be some issue with coolant temperature sensor or fan is not turning on in the corect time.

Beside that, car starts very hard. Previous owner changed spark plugs before I pick up the car, because it woldn't start. After that I changed wires and 2 bad coils. Battery shows aroun 14.5 V when car is runnig.
Also, have cold air intake installed. Find out that air temperature sensor is not on it, and plug for sensor just laying on the side.

Somebody has any ideas. I was thinking to fix coolant issue first.

coolant in engine = bad scoobies! read these

Get into the habit of changing all coils and plugs at the same time. Lot of places to purchase for good prices, and the job to do it is simple.

what sensor plug is laying around? If you're unsure, take a pic and post it here.

Good luck and keep us posted

green plug for air temperature sensor. It is located somewhere in air cleaner box (driver side), but there are no place for it in cold ait intake ( I have AEM).
So, should I go directly to the dealer to test my engine? I read a lot of post about engine problems but was hopping that my could be fixed. I know car is still under 100 000 miles warranty, but I do not have any receipts about servicing of this car beside for parts that I bough.

is cold air intake void the warranty?

are you talking about the plug that attaches to the MAF sensor cord? If so, it connects next to the battery box (just to the right and down of the pos terminal).

yes, it is attached with maf sensor cord, I just to see it , but there are no place to connect it to the battery box. I spoke with mechanic, he said I should buy air temperature sensor and place it somewhere into the cold air intake pipe. Not sure if he was right. Also, he said it might be a reasone of hard start.

That green plug is not required if you have an aftermarket CAI like the AEM.

IIRC it had something to do with the VFAD which is surely removed if it is a AEM CAI you have installed.

yes, you right. I just checked on google, and saw a picture of it. So, I do not really need that because it suposed to opens after 6500 rpm. Also, I saw another car with AEM CAI instaled, and green plug is just laying on the side.
I deside to go to the dealer and do compresion test. But if engine fails what is my chanse to get it fixed from dealer? Does cold air intake voide warranty on engine?

Having a CAI should not impact your warantee .... however it seems that things like this vary from Dealer to Dealer.
My Dealer was a complete asshole, who actually got shut down by Mazda Canada for corrupt business practices.

You will likely need to produce receipts for regularly schedule oil changes.

I just got this car two month ago. previous owner was doing oil change by himself. I did less than 500 miles on it during those 2 month.
