Coolant Fill Leak

I just did my annual coolant change today and ran into a bit of a weird issue. When I was refilling the coolant mixture, a bit of coolant was dripping onto the floor, but ONLY as I was pouring. I'm not spilling anything, everything is going right into the reservoir, but as I was pouring I could hear the system having the water run in and it burping out air. If I stop filling, nothing leaks, but as soon as I am filling the car a small puddle forms underneath the car. Yes I checked both the radiator drain plug and engine drain plug tightness.

Interesting thing is when I start up the car, there doesn't seem to be any leakage. After driving the car, the underbody is dry. The coolant level did fall, but only at a rate that was consistent with the burping of air from previous coolant changes. I topped off the level after the initial drive, when the engine was cool again of course, and this time nothing seemed to leak out. Before my change, the coolant level hadn't moved in over a year.

I will observe the level in the coming days to gather more information, but in the meantime, does anyone have any idea what could possibly be causing this?

to the right of the fill is a overflow hose. Make sure you pour into the center, so it doesn't hit the lip and pour out.

The overflow hose should be replaced with a longer one that you zip tie in place. You want it to overflow under the car, not onto your power steering wires the way it comes from factory.

Thanks. Now that I think about it, that might be it.
