condensation? or something else

So to start off...yes I have condensation in my right (passenger side) tail light. But I am not sure about how to fix it. I have searched and looked at many threads about the drilling and/or using the weatherstrip and adhesive sealant. I went out to Home Depot and bought the stuff for the weatherstrip and adhesive sealant stuff fix and when I went out to my car I noticed this tear in my trunk seal...could this lead to my condensation? or do you think that I just have the normal RX8 failed gasket? I just don't want to try and fix the gasket around the tail light and potentially make a problem if there isn't a problem with the tail light gasket at all and it turns out to be the trunk gasket causing the problem. I know the hole in the trunk gasket is supposed to be there because it is on both sides but my main question is, does the tear in the trunk gasket lead to condensation. Please help!

Remove the assembly, take out the bulbs, air dry or use a hair dryer (on low) to remove the moisture that is present and replace the gasket with a new one from your Mazda dealer or on-line Mazda parts supplier.
