Condensation getting in! but where!

Hi Guys and Girls.
I am new on here and have a bit of a problem with my 04 reg RX8

There is condensation getting in my car!
My rear and side back windows are always misted up.
The strange thing about it is, it seems to be a lot worse on the driver’s side of the car.
My driver’s side rear light is full of condensation too.
I know all about the rear lights and the gasket problems they have. These have been changed by Mazda and I don’t think that these are the cause of the problem as the passenger side light is fine.
It must be something to do with the drivers side because even the mist is on one side of the rear window? Its all clear on the passenger side.
I have looked everywhere to see where it might be coming from. I have took all the boot and seats apart and still found nothing.
Was just wondering if someone has had a similar problem

Help please

firstly, check your car for any standing water, ie:your trunk.

yea i have checked every where in the boot. cant seem to find a thing. I took all the carpet and jack out.
I thought it would be one of the rubber seals someone but they all seem to be fine.
so strange.

Do you have a sunroof? Maybe the drain channels?

jack15 02-15-2011 06:00 AM

No sunroof on mine.
It is defiantly coming from the rear somewhere. The right side is misting up in normal weather conditions. I thought at first it might have been because of all the rain. But its been dry and warm these last couple of days.

Would it be worth replacing the seal around the rear doors?
I am guessing this will cost quite a bit of money

Are the rear compass windows closing tight?

Ja, I bet it is unlocked.

Sorry what do you mean by unlocked? how does this affect water getting in?

When there is a rear window that is unlocked the cold air gets in and condensates.
