Compression low on first Rotor

I've got a 2005 rx8 with a greddy turbo kit, and dual exhaust with titanium tips, greddy bov, and konig rims. My question is one of my rotors is testing low on compression and the tech at the mazda dealership said its ok but it could be on its way out. Now from what I gathered he did not seem to know a whole hell of a lot about rotory engines. I was wondering if there was anything I could do to fix this problem or prevent it from getting worse??? From what I have learned is that carbon builds up in these types of engines and can cause a lot of issues. So Im wondering if there is a good safe way for me to see if this is happening and fix it? If anyone has suggestions please help a fellow 8 owner. :)

First of all find another Stealership!!! If the Tech doesn't know rotaries find one who does.
The carbon does build up if you don't run the snot outta it every couple days, due to you having a turbo I don't see this as a problem.
Next on thwe list is what is the mileage??? How is it driven??? Has the car been properly tuned?? Most likely though you may be looking at a new engine soon.

Im already on that. Im talkind to a new dealer thursday to get the compression tested correctly. Im pretty sure its tuned right but Ive had nothing but problems since I put upgrades on my rx8. I love this car but its getting expensive and at this point there is no point in turning back cause I would never get close to what Ive put into it. Oh, to answer ur question just 20,0000 miles on my baby. I hope I dont have to put another rotory in cause I really want to concentrate on doing some cosmetic ugrades not back peddling with engine work.

this is your second post -_-

Did you do any of the Greddy fix ?

Your engine could be on its way out, if it is, there is nothing you can do to stop it.

Find another dealer to do the compression test first.

HI guys,

I have the same Engine Low Compression Issue.
My question is, what can i do to fix it?
My car is a second hand and has no warranties anymore
Changing engine is not an option as its very expensive here in Malaysia.

Pls help.

What year are your cars? Did Mazda just extended the engine warranty to 8 years or 80,000 miles whichever comes first, if i'm not mistaken? Then you should bring it back to the dealer and have them replaced the engine...right?

Take out the aftermarket stuffs you have under the hood first. They might void the warranty because of that.

hey im curious did you end up replacing the engine???

To answer no I didnt replace motor. I drove it a couple thousand miles or so last yr and parked it. My insurance to drive sportscar is so high and Ive got a new born so I cant justify driving it. I hate to admit but I should put up for sale. Just sux cause I luv this car. :scratchhe So much money dumped in it and Ive got a new biz Im getting off the ground... But the car was running good last time I had it on the road.
