Clutch pedals sticks halfway down when cold outside

Hey everyone! So I've owned my RX-8 for a couple of months now and it's been an amazing car (besides low compression lol) but recently I started having an issue with my clutch pedal. What happens is for the first 15-20 minutes of driving when it's below 50-60 degrees outside the clutch pedal 9 out of 10 times sticks almost completely on the floor when shifting. The issue seems to get worse the colder it is outside and also seems to do it more when downshifting or holding in the clutch. Also, if I pump the clutch it'll stick the first 2-3 times then after that it will not stick at all, as if it starts to hold enough pressure to push itself back. There is no difficulty shifting when the pedal sticks and once it warms up it feels fine. I'm leaning towards it being old stiff seals in my master cylinder since it still shifts fine and I can see the master cylinder actually struggle to push back up when I take a peek at my clutch pedal while pushing it in with my hand. The master cylinder also looked slightly oily which I believe is from the clutch master cylinder. I did also weld up the clutch pedal a month ago so that's all set too. I don't see any signs of a leak besides the master cylinder and have seen no drop in brake fluid level.

RX8 clutch pedal assemblies are notorious for cracking. The problem can manifest in a variety of ways. Recommend inspection the assembly near the firewall for cracks. I bet you will find your culprit...
