Clutch Pedal Question

I'm sorry if this is a stupid question - this is my first manual tanny car so I have no idea what's normal and what's the signs of problems...

When driving at lower speeds or at a stop (so pretty much between 0-25mph) the clutch creaks when being depressed. Also, for the last inch or so that the pedal can be pushed, it feels like some "rubbing" is going on that shouldn't.

Are these just signs of age (Victoria's an '03 w/78,000mi), or do I need to take her to a shop and get some stuff fixed/checked out/replaced?

Sorry for my newness. Flames will be forgiven, help will be appreciated.

MT - UNUSUAL NOISE WHEN CLUTCH PEDAL IS DEPRESSED

I know this has been asked before, but searches for "warranty", "mileage", "TSB" brings up results for... well... yeah...

I've exceeded the manufacturers' waranty. Will they still fix my stuff at the dealership, or am I going to have to pay to get it fixed.

On a different note: Is there really any harm in leaving this issue alone? Like, if I choose to not do anything about this, am I hurting the car? Is the clutch *just* squeaking and not really hurting anything, or is each squeak my car's way of saying "OUCH!"?

... is the silence meant to be an "omg yes you moron", or a "wtf, no you dumbass"?

I have a squeak also . Looking at the link they suggest it is caused by the switch , however mine sounds like its coming from the slave cylinder area . Wonder if spraying some CRC on the linkage would do the trick ?
