Clutch Pedal Issue
Trying to figure out what is wrong, driving last night, came to a stop, pressed the clutch in and heard a pop, sounded like a spring, now the clutch pedal comes up past the brake pedal if i lift it up with my foot, engages and is drivable. I think its the slave cylinder, im on my second clutch pedal assembly, first one broke completly off. Any ideas or experiences?

Discussed ad nauseum. The pedal firewall plate spot welds are weak. See the re-weld and/or reinforcing bracket threads.

of course hes looked at his pedal since this occurred to make sure that wasnt it... right? |
Just because he's on his second clutch pedal doesn't mean he knows the root cause. He may have just taken it to Mazda and gotten it replaced under warranty [with another poorly engineered replacement].
Get a properly welded pedal from BHR or the pedal reinforcing bracket from Race Roots. |
hmm shoulda added a rolleyes ....

yup! it's the lug nut..fixed it
damn clutch pedal broke again, didnt notice it at first, wtf kinda pissed, the one in there less than a year old, ive had the car for 6 130K miles, so the pedal broke in like 20K miles, if i have mazda put in another one and it brakes to is it considered a lemon? |
