I have a 2005 mazda rx8 shinka with 80000 miles. I've gone through 5 clutches in the past 6 months. Each time its hard to shift into any gear when the car is running and i have to get it towed to the mechanic. When the mechanic gave me the old clutch back one side was completely worn and the other was still their. But the last clutch lasted 20 miles and i was again unable to shift into any gear. Its obviously not driver error or abuse like the mechanic is saying. I am towing it again soon but looking for any opinions before i do.

 

Sounds like its your mechanic who has the issue.

 

Make sure he checks things like the slave/master cylinder, throwout bearing, and your pilot bearing, etc.
