Clutch Failed again, please help.
I had my clutch replaced a few years ago, and now it seems to have failed again. I am the original owner of my 04. Will Mazda still fix this for free? And if not, how much would I expect to pay to have a mechanic fix it for me?
Thanks! |
Most likely not. Your clutch is a normal wear part and IIRC is only covered for 15-16K miles.
What exactly do you mean by "failed" ... two "failed" clutches sound more like a driver issue. |
As I was driving yesterday, I could hear a chirping sound from under my car. When I pressed the clutch in the noise went away. As soon as I engaged the gear and continued driving the noise continued. Then all the sudden my clutch pedal sank to the floor. I heard metal scraping, so I stopped the car. I haven't tried to start it since. there was also a small amount of white smoke that came from under the car as I stopped.

Update,
just started my car and it was making all kinds of whinnying and metal grinding sounds in neutral. With the clutch pushed in all the sounds stopped. |
